Griffin Kolchakian, Appointed Budget & Communications Director

On Friday we announced that Jason Welty, previously known as CCOC’s Budget and Communications Director has been promoted to the Deputy Executive Director position. Today, we are eager to welcome CCOC’s newest team member, Griffin Kolchakian, as our new Budget and Communications Director.

Griffin is an expert in the budget and finance realm with just over a decade of experience. His love for numbers has carried him through a series of jobs including Super Budget Coordinator at the Department of Environmental Protection, Senior Management Analyst II at the Department of Financial Services, and Senior Governmental Analyst at the Governor’s Office, to name a few. In these positions, he has been responsible for overseeing budgets as large as $450 million dollars, managing teams of employees, preparing Legislative Budget Requests, and understanding the fiscal impact of various legislation.

Tallahassee born and raised, Griffin not only cherishes his hometown community but practices service through various organizations such as the Capital Brotherhood of Tallahassee, Tallahassee Friends of Our Parks Foundation, Relay for Life, and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Aside from volunteer work, he enjoys playing golf, traveling with his wife, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on any and all FSU athletics.

When asked what he is most looking forward to in his new position, Griffin replied, “I am looking forward to working with great people to help further the mission of the clerks as well as working to identify any efficiencies that could potentially be implemented in the budgeting process.  I am extremely excited and thankful for the opportunity to join this team.”

Please join us in welcoming Griffin Kolchakian to the Florida Clerks of Court Operations Corporation team and Florida clerk family!
